Residency/GME
The ELM Residency program is a fixed, 3-year curriculum for resident physicians. This course has specialty-specific tracks and teaches critically important risk management principles to resident physicians. Specific tracks include Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General Surgery and Surgical Subspecialties, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Emergency Medicine.
Building on a long track record of working with academic institutions and residency programs across the country, ELM has built this program specifically for resident physicians. Residents will learn from actual appellate court cases involving post-graduate physicians about patient safety and risk management. No other online program captivates learners with this unique and valuable format. Additionally, this unique curriculum addresses two ACGME requirements which are difficult to attend to in standard residency education models, specifically: Practice-based Learning and Improvement and Systems-based Practice.
A critical method for managing risk and promoting patient safety is to provide substantive, proactive education for resident physicians. The ELM Residency Program improves resident understanding of key risk management principles while developing their critical thinking and situational analysis skills.
